Can companies use volunteer labor?
Volunteers (acting voluntarily and without remuneration) cannot work for companies and businesses, as they cannot support economic activity.
This applies to business activities carried out by NGOs, and even more so by private companies.
In this context, it is worth emphasizing that volunteering is not an internship, which - under certain conditions - can take place in a private enterprise. The conditions for an internship are regulated by other legal acts.
Employee volunteering is yet another case, where the recipients of volunteer support are NGOs or other institutions authorized to do so, and the company encourages and supports its employees to voluntarily engage in such activities.
